Muir Eye Care — Green Infrastructure at the Local Level

Muir Eye Care is relocating their practice and reached out to us for landscape design. The lot they are building on has stood abandoned on a major thoroughfare for over ten years. Part of the clinic's goals include demonstrating their investment in the community by enhancing the space dramatically.
Keeping with strict City of Concord guidelines, the landscape will be extremely drought tolerant and also able to absorb any roof and parking lot runoff. This green infrastructure will replenish ground water and prevent street storm drains from being overwhelmed in a storm. Several mature trees will remain on site, with more trees proposed to shade the building and reduce energy costs.
