Hung Kuo Ilan Sustainable Community — An Ecological Oasis

We were invited to participate in the Hung Kuo Ilan Sustainable Community Masterplan Competition in the middle of this year. Based on our passion for ecologically-oriented development, we participated despite the tight time frame. We are honored to win the masterplan design.
PLAT Studio has had an array of experience with ecological masterplanning. Clients are interested in creating sustainable developments that will support natural and human communities for years to come.
This landscape master plan aims to embrace the idyllic countryside and natural beauty of the site to create an ecological oasis. The goals of this plan are to create a sustainable community with green strategies in every approach, building healthy universal housing for all ages, as well as creating a neighborhood with a strong community identity. Parkway and Main Street axes provide linkages between parcels, and the Eco-Loop within residential lots connects various landscape zones to shape diverse and livable neighborhoods.
