Vera Yang

Senior Landscape Designer

As a landscape designer, Vera is passionate about exploring the past and the present of a place while reimagining its future through the lenses of environmental responsibility and cultural significance. She believes a successful design goes beyond visual aesthetics and challenges users’ preconceived experiences and expectations of a place. With training in urban planning and landscape architecture, Vera enjoys creating places with a deep connection to people’s day-to-day life and has always been fascinated by projects with dynamic urban context and cultural identities.

Prior to PLAT Studio, Vera has received her master degree in landscape architecture from Ball State University in 2016 and previously interned at Context Design in Indianapolis. Her thesis project MATERIALSCAPE has won the INASLA Student Design Honor Award. She is registered as LEED Green Associate.
