As a landscape designer at PLAT Studio, Siting Huo is interested in urban ecology and sustainable water management. She believes landscape design is not only creating appealing space, but importantly growing a social, cultural and ecological loop from the site. Her vision of designing ecological urban life is revealed in her 2014 St. Louis ASLA Student Award wining project, Release: Room for the Mississippi River.
Siting enjoys traveling by pubic transportation or by foot, and photographing with her old camera. It is her way to communicate with the nature, the city and her heart.
Prior to joining PLAT Studio, Siting obtained her MLA from Washington University in St. Louis, and BE in Landscape Architecture from Southeast University in Nanjing, China. She has MLA studio teaching experience as faculty assistant in Wash U, and also professionally practiced in Shenzhen, China and St. Louis, MO, on various scale projects.
